Day 1: Accra - Wli - Tafi - Hohoe
Depart Accra to the Hohoe District of the Volta Region to visit the Wli Waterfalls, the highest in West Africa (80 feet). Take a 45 minute trek through the forest and observe the the different kinds of plant species. Late afternoon visit to Tafi-Atome and visit the monkey sanctuary which is inhabited by playful Mona Monkeys. Villagers believe the monkeys are sacred thus no-one is allowed to harm them, a typical example of cultural conservation. You can feed the monkeys whilst they sit on your shoulders or arms. Return to Hohoe. Overnight in Hohoe. (D)

Day 2: Hohoe - Gbledi - Accra
Very early morning drive to Gbledi Gborgame, one of the villages at the foothills of Mt Afadjato, Ghana’s highest peak, for a hike up this mountain which is 2905ft above sea level from where you will have a beautiful view of valleys, hills, surrounding villages, the Volta Lake and a part of the Republic of Togo, Ghana’s Eastern neighbour. Return to the foot of the mountain and have breakfast in the 3 acre recreational park. Later visit the village of Gbledi and interact with the locals. Afternoon departure to Accra. (B)
