Overview This awesome short wildlife safari takes you to the world’s most powerful waterfall where you can expect to encounter several large African wild animals like the Water buffalo, elephant, Crocodile, Lion, Leopard, Hippopotamus, Antelope, Giraffes, Uganda Kob, Oribi, among others while lots of water birds are so many along the Nile River that is within the park like the exceptional Shoe bill stork, rhino sanctuary.
The safari takes you to the peak of falls which is a fantastic spot for great photography. The game drive in this Uganda safari package is breath-taking.
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park Rumara safaris’ friendly and well experienced guide will pick you up from your favorite lodge immediately after breakfast, brief you about the trip and drive heading to Murchison falls. You make a stopover at the Zziwa rhino sanctuary to meet the endangered white rhinos of Uganda. Afterwards, proceed to Murchison falls national park and hike to the top of the falls from where you will have the fascinating view of the Nile as it forces its way through the rocks and forming a very beautiful scenery. It is unquestionably adorable. Here you will see the calm Nile dropping its self through a narrow gorge to fall a gap of about 150 ft down churning out a deafening roar of white water- far-fetched scenery! Retreat from the activity and head to your safari lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day Two: Morning Game Drive and Nile River Boat Cruise. After an early breakfast, leave for an early morning game drive in the Savannah, drive along the delta of Lake Albert, beautiful wildlife and don’t forget to take pictures of the sun rise and the early risers. Whatever you are imagining and feeling, viewing animals all around you can never be replicated elsewhere on earth; this is actually the true Murchison Falls with its waterfalls, lions, warthogs, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, hippos, birds and giraffe. You will see large crocodiles basking out in the sun. Retreat and go back to rest a bit and enjoy your lunch before an afternoon boat cruise tour on the river Nile. Here, you will encounter a variety of animals along the river banks among which are numerous giant crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, antelopes and elephants plus different birds such as water birds, Shoebill storks and fish eagles. The boat gently moves down the river offering you very fantastic view of the various animals. This actually offers a wonderful opportunity to take photographs of the various animals that come to the river banks for a drink. Large elephants are seen cooling off, crocodiles dozing under the sun and Hippopotamus playing in the water.
You will also have the opportunity to see the magnificent waterfalls as the waters of the mighty Nile force their way through a 7 meter gorge and drop down past a series of rocks to 43 meters below with a thunderous crush which forms a cloud of water spray and numerous rainbows. It is very spectacular! Head back to your lodge for a lovely dinner with an evening of leisure and slumber.
Day 3: Head back to Kampala. View the stunning falls early Morning and enjoy a leisure breakfast after which we pack our bags and get ready to leave back to Kampala. We shall make a halt at the top of the falls where our planet literally shakes due to the power of these falls; here you will see a rainbow that results from water spray from the falls.
Then we head to Masindi where we shall have lunch before continuing to Kampala where we shall arrive in the late afternoon.
