Day 1. : The Ultimate Sri Lanka Tour Package begins with arrival at Colombo International Airport. Welcome and transfer to Jetwing Blue Resort, a 5 star hotel on the Negombo coast.
Day 2. : Sightsee in Negombo then travel on to Cinnamon Lodge, Habarana, which will be your accommodation for tonight. Evening tour of Polonnaruwa, a ruined 12th century medieval city and world heritage site. Hike to the vast Alahana Pirivena monastery complex and then on to the Galvihara statues, considered as the best examples of rock carving in Sri Lanka. Take some refreshment at the colonial rest house and then continue to be amazed by the extent of this awesome place.

Day 3. : Today on the Ultimate Sri Lanka Tour you can pick and mix. The options range from a 2 hour village tour to a remote Sri Lankan village and a boat tour towards seasonal chena cultivations. Alternatively, visit another World Heritage Site – the fabulous rock fortress of Sigiriya dating from the 5th century with astonishing rock paintings, breath-taking views with elephants roaming in this ancient sanctuary. A visit to Minneriya National Park is yet another option for you. After the rain season in February is the best time to see thousands of migratory birds and if you want to see plenty of elephant and many other species, then the height of the drought in August will be the best time. Overnight at Cinnamon Lodge. Option to stay at the Kandalama Resort instead of Cinnamon Lodge, subject to availability. Please check on booking.
Day 4. : We leave for Kandy after breakfast and take in the Dambulla cave temple and a spice garden along the way. Check into the Cinnamon Citadel Resort then explore the wonderful city of Kandy at your will.
Day 5. : A scenic drive today in the direction of Nuwara Eliya which will take you through tea plantations with the option to stop at the Labukelle Tea Factory. Overnight at the Grand Hotel.
Day 6. : Enjoy the diverse delights of Nuwara Eliya or go out for a hike at the Horton Plains National Park. It is your call today!
Day 7. : A four hour drive to the Yala plains via Ella Gap. Overnight at the Cinnamon Wild Resort on the edge of the Indian Ocean.
Day 8. : Yala National Park – the largest in Sri Lanka, covers over 400 square miles and is known to have the highest density of leopards in the world.
Day 9. : Today we travel to the fabulous Paradise Beach Resort in Mirissa. You must book well in advance for this one as a night here is extremely sought after. Evening sightseeing at Galle. Mirissa is the best bay in Asia for watersports which can be organised for you by your tour leader (subject to extra costs – please ask when you book).
Day 10. : The second last day of the Ultimate Sri Lanka Tour. Today, a certain highlight: whale watching. Mirissa is known as one of the best locations in the world for blue and sperm whale sightings particularly between December and April. Leave at midday for Colombo and the 5 star Cinnamon Grand Hotel which will be your accommodation for your last night in Sri Lanka. Time to explore this wonderful city.
Day 11. : Free to continue to sightsee and shop (breakfast only provided today). You can enjoy a very late 8pm check out. Your Ultimate Sri Lanka Tour comes to an end. Transfers to airport and departure.
