The tour begins with the oldest colonial city built in the fifteenth century, you will visit the Cathedral of America, birthplace of the fervent Catholic faith, followed by the National Pantheon monument of historical significance, which was once a Jesuit church, and later it became the final resting place of many notable Dominicans. Explore the Museo de las Casas Reales, the former Palace of Government and artifacts from the colonial era. After a delicious typical lunch we will go through the route of "El Malecon", a thick wall built at the sea, while enjoying the beauty of the Caribbean Sea and modern buildings such as the Palace of Fine Arts, the National Theatre and the Presidential Palace. Finally, you will visit the lighthouse, built in 1992 to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the arrival of Christopher Columbus to the island and where his remains are.
