For those who prefer their off-road adventures to include challenges, this beauty in south central France is sure to delight, featuring unique pastoral terrain in rural surrounds, this is huntin', shootin' and fishin' country right in the heart of France. https://youtu.be/TOBXkH1lvmk
Historically this has always been the toughest of my European tours and, while I have toned things down recently, the route remains better suited to those with a little bit more off-roading experience. Located in south central France, this is proper adventure country, where the frills are few and the thrills are plentiful. Farming prevails, and most of the locals seem to enjoy the hunting, shooting and fishing lifestyles. The rugged pastoral charm of the region remains unspoiled by much tourist infrastructure, though the campsites are excellent, as are the activities. If you need to escape to the wilderness following the summer holidays, and you enjoy occasional moderate challenges in vastly varying terrain, then this special tour in the heart of rural France, will suit you perfectly. Fully catered as always, also including outdoor adventure activities.
Start - we meet at a campsite near Ambert in the late afternoon preceding Day 1, to enjoy a welcoming BBQ, followed by the tour briefing and the essential testing and calibration of the CB radios.
Finish - at a campsite near Chaliers on the morning of Day 11, and after a complimentary farewell breakfast, we head our separate ways.
Included - full catering 3 meals per day for the duration of the tour, outdoor adventure activities as detailed in the itinerary, all campsite fees from start to finish also including the campsite preceding Day 1.
