Along the way to San Gimignano, we will stop in Colle di Val d'Elsa, considered the capital of Italian crystal where glass and crystal are produced by more than 800 years, to admire the Museum os Crystal and know the traditional processing craft of this marvellous product into unique objects, which are real works of art.
For the characteristic medieval architecture and the conservation of many tower-houses, once a symbol of power and wealth of the noble families, San Gimignano was declared UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The territory of San Gimignano is also known for the famous Vernaccia, the only tuscan white wine which boasts the highest recognition of DOCG, and you will taste it during a typical lunch at a local farm.
In the afternoon we will visit Volterra, jewel of etruscan, roman and medieval art, situatated on a hill overlooking the entire valley to the sea; here you will be greeted in an alabaster workshop-laboratory, performed with passion and love as in the past.
